I saw this video the other night and wanted to share this guy's brilliant technique to removing spot welds from a garbage panel using one of my favorite air tools.
sorry I don't have a time marker for you all.
This is a great series on a father/daughter build.
6 minutes exactly I think.

Thanks I have a terrible signal where I am right now so could barely load the vid forget play it.
That's a really nice technique, thanks.
I recently did pretty much the same technique by taking a very large drill bit (like 1/2 inch) to them. But the finger sander is smart because sometimes the drill bit wants to walk.

FYI, "this guy" happens to be skateboarder Bucky Lasek....

No, Bucky watched "this guy" sand the spot welds.
Bucky is also a pretty decent rally racer too, and judging from the videos a really cool dad.
I use the same technique, but with a 3" cut off wheel. It's great as long as you can sacrifice one of the two panels. Does not work if you want to save both.

I have done a few spot weld removals and tried just about everything. Got the finger sander tool. Done the technique. Good for the odd space but not the answer for me. Give me the tool that was designed for the job.
yeah, when you have to drill like 20 or more, the sander is going to take forever.
Did anyone else's brain complete the title of this thread with "bucket seats have all got to go"?
I need to pick up one of those finger sanders, though.
Looks like $570 for the name brand. I'll keep doing whatever I've been doing that doesn't require one.
Harbor freight has an ok one.

If I was home I'd post a pic of my real spot welder bits but some 60 grit on a dynafile will be faster IMO.
