Not too far from my house, looked like a wide body. It's maroon.
If someone's interested I can drive by it tomorrow and get more info...

Should I buy this one? Owner says it is a Canadian car, second owner, has a lsd and everything. $2500, no rust. I wants it for a summer DD
Edit- I guess its a widebody with the handling package!
I'm pretty sure we Canucks never got this symbol of 80's excellence. I love 'em. Buy it, megaquirt it.

That's probably what you meant, anywhere else in Canuckland, absolutely agree with you. I'll probably just buy a camaro anyways, but this is soooo cool!
Well, if this one was always a Colorado car it'll be rust free.
Didn't buy it because I don't need it and have nowhere to put it.
However if someone else wants it, I'll get the info on it and take some pictures for them.

and yours was prolly the most reliable one ever.....
on that note, they're good cars.....you just have to have several to keep one drivable

I've heard that something like 200 got sold through Dodge dealers in Canada, AND I've heard that none at all were officially imported. They were on the RIV blacklist (unimportable) for years because of Canada's retarded bumper standards, but the manufacturers don't have to follow that blacklist, only private importers... I'd bet a bazillion bucks this is a US car that was brought in after it was 15 yo and the ban didn't apply anymore. Not that that really matters. Easiest way to check is to see whether the speedo is in mph or km/h (not a sure thing though!)
Hard to tell from that photo but it looks like that car does NOT have the 'Sports Handling Package' (SHP), or at least not the wheels. They look almost identical but the lip on the rears (especially) is a bit different. That one is rolling on standard 16x7 f/16x8 r wheels, the SHP wheels have an extra inch of width front and rear. (They are also worth 3x~4x what a set of the standard wheels are, so it's perfectly conceivable that someone sold them off separately at some point.)
SHP also gets you different springs and dampers, but I'm not sure what else... It was only offered in '88 & '89.
Starquests are probably one of the most rust-resistant '80s Japanese cars that existed. Seriously, you guys should see the underside of my New Mexico / Colorado car, you could flip it upside-down and do surgery down there!
$2500 is a good price if it runs well. These things are bargains, $4000-$5000 is a really nice one and if you wanna pay $7000 it'll be factory mint with 15 miles on it.

Wouldn't know, never finished the project. It's changed hands quite a few times since I let her go. Too much work and not enough $$$

Umm, this sounds like the one down by my Son's school. I snapped a couple of pics. I'll load them up here in a minute... soon as I figure out how to get them off my phone. Asking $1,600 according to the for sale sign.
The way it's sitting, looks like the engine is out of it. There's a radiator in the passenger seat which seems to confirm that thought. I didn’t see any rust. I kinda don’t even look for it anymore. Colorado cars don’t tend to have rust and it’s been so long since I lived back east I sort of forgot about how much that sucks. It looks pretty straight. But definitely needs a lot of work – at least needs to be put together.
I have a pic of the for sale sign with the phone number. Won’t post it, but if anyone wants it I could sent it to you.
Yeah, you western folks and your absence of rust makes me sick. Every time rust causes me a problem, I think about how nice it would be to live in colorado.
The hood on that is an '83-only part and is pretty valuable (as well as looking awesome.) And I want those rear window louvers! Bad!
Seriously, if someone on here gets that car and doesn't want the louvers (or the hood for that matter), I'll buy 'em.
