Is there any real difference between the Mercedes and Dodge units? Around here I see FedEx using MB, but most commercial trucks are Dodge. Even saw a few Freightliner ones. All use the Mercedes Diesels, no?

Basically the same. Some places chose from the three flavors depending on the srigma they do, or don't want.

it's probably like the GMC, Isuzu, and Chevy Box trucks.. all the same basic truck.. but behind the wheel you can see that the Chevy is the cheapest and the GMC is the most expensive. There is that much of a difference in the interiors of the cab on even a real working commercial truck
