Hey guys,
On my 01 2500 Dodge Ram wagon passenger van I am getting a squealing from the passengers side front during left turns. About two weekends ago I replaced the front wheel bearings, and races because the old ones were starting to growl a bit,and these vans are infamous for wheel bearing issues. I bought new Timken bearings, and repacked them real good with new grease, and replaced the races in the rotors. Everything was done the right way as far as I know, and I had a friend that was helping me with the races as I had never replaced them before. He has forgotten more about cars then I will ever know, and I would think that if I was putting it together wrong he would have caught it.
The van doesn't make any squealing sounds at all when driving normal, but when I make low speed hard turns,or a long sweeping semi tight left turn I get this squeal from the front passenger side. It seems as of when the right side gets loaded up with more weight that this noise happens. Any ideas???

Squeeling?? Not a metal to metal noise? Are you sure it's not the belt slipping under load?
It does sound like a metal to metal sound. It is not the belt.

I'd pull the tire and check to see if the brake rotor is coming into contact with the caliper bracket or a caliper bolt has backed out (or not tightened) and is contacting the wheel.
Check the new grease has not come out of the bearings, I would repack them just because you can. I have had this happen, sometimes there is air inside that forces the grease out again
I repacked them once, and checked that I did everything right, and I am still getting the noise. Now I have a rotted rear brake line that is hidden between the frame rail, and 35 gaallong fuel tank. Thankfully the tank was on fumes.
Does that Ram van use the single piston caliper attached with two pins it slides on? If it is, are the pins true? They could be tweaked and allowing the caliper to move on an off angle.
Does it happen with your foot off the brake? Does it happen at slow enough speeds that you could have somebody stand outside the van and listen?
All the Dodge trucks seem like to have the brake lines rust in that area. It's never fun to fix.

The noise happens with my foot off the brake pedal. The calipers were new about 5000 miles ago.
I think I have the brake line repaired, but I need some help bleeding the lines, and also I broke a L-shaped bolt that held the front tank strap up to the frame. I think I will have to get it at the dealer,or make up a custom one. Thankfully I don't need this vehicle right now,but I will soon.
Forgot to mention new pads, and rotors at the same time as the calipers. Any ideas?
