I've got a couple of sets of these that came with my NB Miata. Should I buy center caps for street use? If so, I really need some recommendations on where to shop and what to look for.

The car is autocross only, but it's being driven to events. Some are a 200 mile round trip.

Those are SSR TypeC racing wheels. They didn't come with caps that I'm aware of. I've used wheels sans caps with no negative effects in the past, but you can probably find caps to fit if it's an aesthetic issue.

Edit: SSR offers caps for $40/set

It's a race car, I'm not too concerned about esthetics. My thoughts were more about whether the center caps are recommend for protection of the hubs, etc.

Then I wouldn't bother . I'm running my Miata without any caps and have been for several years. No ill effects that I've seen.

Your Miata does not depend on hub caps to protect the hub. Aesthetics only.

The gunmetal ones have center caps. Those were the tire rack sold SSR comps.

The white ones do not have center caps and the ones from the Tire Rack version do not fit as the wheel bore opening is larger. Basically the same wheel minus a few aesthetics. The white ones are the JDM version.

Also an owner of white and gunmetal ones.
