So it must be your who taught my girlfriend how to drive! Pretend the solid and dangerous curb is actually a wimpy little cone and don't hit it!

It all comes down to this for me: If I'm gonna go out and spend thousands of my hard-earned dollars on my car, it better go faster and handle better afterwards.

I cannot comprehend why someone would spend any money at all making their car drive WORSE than it did before they started to mess with it. And all for the sake of looks? I can understand trying to get as much tire under a car and having wide wheels with big meats that might stick out a little, but lowering a car so there can be virtually no suspension travel before the tire makes contact with the outside of the wheel well? That's stupid and dangerous. Add to the fact that people stretch way-too-narrow tires onto these wheels that don't fit, and you have a dangerous recipe for disaster and a total waste of money.

Look, if you are going to try and do this, please stay at home and draw a car that looks dumb or something, or perhaps paint/render something to look stupid. Then donate your money to charity if it's burning a hole in your pocket.

I hope this stupid trend passes soon.

This picture is the E36 M3.
Ya wider wheels would work and look better.

If we're on the topic of weird fitment, here is something.

My tercel has 30mm wider track in the rear from factory. I can fit a 185/60/14, but not a 185/65/14 in the rear because it will tear the fender lips out.

The fronts would indefinitely fit 225 width tires with an appropriate offset.

Thinking 15x8 or so Diamond Racing steelies. All the cheap alloy solutions for Saabs are heavy and narrow...

Though, I have thought of getting some of those rivet-on fender flares that you see on 240Z's, Miata's, etc and going nuts...

This. And, I hate Victoria's Secret - broomsticks with fake boobs are the equivalent of hardparker cars. Yuck. If I'm going to put up with that E36 M3, I want performance that's going to leave me breathless, not something that has to slow down to cross a manhole cover.

Yeah, I think about how much he spent on making that poor thing completely useless, and I think about how badly my Miata needs a set of 15x9 6ULs and some 275 Hoosiers. And then I have to slap my own face and remind myself that it's his car and his money.

I saw that white Miata one in person - it has about an inch of ground clearance with nobody in it, and that drops to about half an inch with a driver and passenger. The owner admitted he can't get it into his own driveway.

I'll admit to having run some combination of ride height and tire size that had trouble playing nicely together - I had to roll the inside of my Dart's front fenders since the tops of the front wheels are about an inch above the fender opening. But I can't see myself building a car that difficult to drive. It would seem more like a display piece than an actual car. (I feel the same way about some of the AMBR / Ridler cars with their gold plated brake rotors and such.)

This inspired me. In a fit of academic avoidance, I came up with this.

When you use fonts that are native to Windows, it's not hard for someone else to make a satire of it.

I wonder if I should get some decals made up with this logo... I know a guy who could cut some real cheap... Hmmmm....

And for the tercel tripod. My sister's tercel has no sway bars stock and handles similarly.

Usually there is a helmet involved, that summer i was quite broke and didn't come prepared to drive. But for some silly reason, yes, no helmet.

Car has whiteline 22mm/20mm bars, i need to rethink my approach to setup though.
