I'm not sure if I'll be that grandpa that "you have to keep an eye on" or if I'll just be chasing the little ones around trying to keep them from hurting themselves in the game of mousetrap that I have made my life. ;) I hope I have a few years to do something about it.

They do slow down the production a little. At this age, one of the parents is out there with them, to make sure they don't lose a hand to a large power tool. This is the best time to teach them that the shop is a happy place so that later in life they remember the fun as well as the work.
My 2 year old loves going to my shop. We have a chart on the wall with her weights next to my scale. We have a white board she can draw on with me. But our favorite part is going through each drawer and identifying the tools one at a time. I love it, she loves it. It's great.
I'm sad that the Grosh was a spider infested danger hole when my kids were little. They still tend to stay away. Toddler friendly will be a requirement for any new shop.

But your latest 'Grosh' post had dueceling #1 helping to paint ......there's still hope , maybe once the bench is finished you might not even be able to use it yourself
