Sell both, get a Miata?

You'll get more for the prius now in tax return season. If it were mine I'd figure out the coolant issue with either a new hose/clamp or some Cadillac Tablets. Go for a nice long drive and get those batteries charged, and find a cheap detail shop to get it up on Craigslist.

Fix the Volvo and be the envy of hipsters everywhere.

yep, sell the Toyota. Get a rental for long road trips unless the trip is an adventure, then drive the Volvo.

Online job and school...

Sell both. Rent for vacation. Uber for groceries. Drive a go kart for fun.

Ooo tax season is coming up! Great timing.

Last trip to Florida I took the Volvo and it went well. Trip before that I rented an Audi SUV with a giant sunroof for $250 for the week. That was awesome and probably the route I'll take.

I actually tried this for a few months. My uber bills were about $150 a month and uber drivers were making me crazy. Which lead me to the purchase of the Volvo.

With no commute for work or school, I'd either keep the Volvo or sell both and getting something cheap and impractical.

The Prius has a decent amount going for it, but not in the areas that seem key to your situation.

I would sell the Prius - your current situation doesn't play to its strengths, it needs more work to be a long term keeper, and it will fall more in value by the time you graduate.

Yea I like the idea of keeping the Volvo for beer trips and around town. Then just renting a car for the few times I travel a year.

This.

My first instinct was "keep the appliance of course", but the Prius seems unpractical for your situation. That Volvo will go a million miles if you want it to.

I also vote for selling the Pious.

Just curious since I'm looking to change careers, what do you do that allows you to work from home?

The Volvo does nothing for me. However if I was in your situation the Prius would already be gone, I would have fixed anything needing fixing on the Volvo and drive it til you are done with school.

My profile pic should cast my vote for me, I think.

Don't sell the Prius. Drop a piano on it. Post video. Be internet famous!

Sold the prius for over $1,000 kelly blue book value within 12 hours... I think people who own Honda's / Toyotas are onto something.. They hold value like a piggy bank and are simple as hell to sell.

I sort of want to trade my 240 wagon up for this, but must resist.
