I'm trying to find the right one, I think I found my weirdness, a Taurus SHO, I would autocross,rally/rallycross,hillclimbs, etc. so how good are they?
this is a stupid question but has anybody owned one? owns one or two or way more? problems? etc. can they smoke some kid trying to race me in a Pepboys tuned Civic?

I've been a fan since they were introduced.
That being said, I have heard that they are pretty much hit and miss on build quality, enough that I haven't purchased one....even the 1200-2500 dollar ones on craigslist that keep haunting me.
A friend told the that the two happiest days he's had were the day he bought a SHO....and the day that he sold it.
Bright side? Great engine.
YMMV, and I'm sure someone will blow industrial strength sunshine up your rectum, but research the hell out of these before you consider purchasing one.![](/media/img/icons/smilies/wink-18.png)
I used to have a 92 with the 5-speed. Great engine, marginal chassis. Mine was cursed. The problem is nowadays nearly everything for them is obsolete, out of stock, and impossible to find. Be prepared to sink serious money on even mundane items for the engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and trim parts. If your OK with a higher budget then I recommend buying the nicest, low-mileage one you can afford and go for it.
Everything I've heard about SHOs is stick to the V6, and when you buy one, pass over anything with engine issues, as parts are becoming harder and harder to find.

I've never owned one. A friend loves his and tracks the beans out of his; it's an ex-Bondurant instructor car. I've heard that there are some engine parts that are rather expensive or difficult to find.

If by weirdness you mean expensive, unreliable and hard to get parts for then this is the car for you.
Joey48442 will GIVE you a rallycross/autocross car if you come pick it up in Lansing, Michigan. Only stipulation is if you SELL the car after the fact, he gets a cut.

Wow, what kind of car we talking about?
I dont think i would buy an SHO. From what I heard people have bought up the remaining stock of many essential parts and are now selling them for a greatly increased price, and there are a few things you just cant get at all. I dont think they would make a good race car either. Autocross and track days probably, but not rallycross, hill climbs, etc.
