More eyes looking is a good thing, right?

damn, that sucks. I remember a rally driver in England one time had his Grp N Sapphire taken from the parking lot of the event hotel - had it blocked in, didn't do any good.

I'm in Acworth (north of Marietta). Any pix of the trailer (only saw the generic one on the PParts thread) will help. When this kind of E36 M3 happens to the SCCA guys I know, the thieves know they can't sell the car as a whole, and dismantle it for the parts inside the trailer.

A local guy had his whole towing rig and truck stolen a bunch of years back from a diner, returning from a drag race. I think they found the truck, stripped about 4 weeks later, and that was it.

I work in Marietta, there are a ton of shops (chop shops too) over here on Atlanta Rd, might start driving/calling around.

Very true. A local guy had his stolen GT350 returned to him recently after something like 30 years since it disappeared.

With the help of the internet it is harder for thieves to hide.
