"1991 Subaru Loyale (Wagon) for sale. It almost has 218,000 on it. It runs good and I drive it back and forth to work everyday. It is a 5 speed manual and it does have 4 wheel drive that is push button. I am the second owner and the first owner kept every reciept of what has been done to it. It does have A/C (That worked good) until the compressor locked up last summer on me. New rear brake shoes. it has fairly new tires on it. This is a great vehicle to drive back and forth to work and does great in the snow. I gets a constant 24 MPG driving back and forth to work"

I know about NASOIC or whatever, but I like the people here on Grassroots. Anyway, What other motor will bolt to that transmission? I like the 5speed and 4WD!

thanks!

Looks like he got an EJ22 in that '88 so it may work with the loyal.

EA82. Sturdy, reliable transportation. They occasionally lose timing belts, but aren't interference engines, so just put another one on it and go. We just got one here from the original owner that needed a timing belt. 170k miles and looks brand freakin' new inside and out. My mom is buying it and giving me her beat-to-hell-and-back 300k mile '87 VW Fox wagon to run in the BABE rally!
