I've been pondering using some of summit's brand of parts, since their prices are much cheaper than everyone else's. Usually though, that means the quality is sub-par as well. Anyone have good or bad experiences with summit brand carbs, intakes & such?

I have used them. No unpleasant experiences.
Their customer service is pretty good.

The parts you mentioned are chinese, but Summit does a good job on quality control. Some of the E-Bay stuff if far more suspect.
only summit part i've used is a narrow band a/f gauge... looking at it i'd guess it was made by cyberdyne
works well... although the 2nd LED up works intermittently... no biggie but always funny to see when it decides to work
They're generally private label parts made by various manufacturers, so what you're getting depends on the quality of the original maker. I believe the intakes are made by Professional Products, and the proportioning valves are Wilwood, for example. Their AN fittings - allegedly by Goodridge - are one case where I've found their parts a bit subpar; they're a bit harder to assemble than Earl's or Russel fittings.
i think they will tell you who makes the parts you are looking at buying. i think most of their house brand stuff is just USA made name brand stuff with a Summit sticker on the box.
In reply to BoostedBrandon:
There's a few things they have made specifically for them, like mufflers, and those tend to be crappy.
But for the most part their private label stuff is just some other companies parts with Summits name on them, so the quality is the same as or close to the other mfr.
If you are thinking about some specific parts, I can usually find out who makes them.
I have built exhausts, intakes etc with Summit brand mandrel tubing, mufflers, clamps, bungs, etc... Never used anything "precision" with the name on it though like connecting rods... but everything I did get was fine.
No issues with them. Fair pricing, fast shipping. I'll buy from them again.
You can usually figure out who's part you're actually buying by looking at the image then finding the name-brand part that's ~10% more.
I've had great experiences with Summit's private-label stuff, even the carburetors. Most of it is from really good companies, as has been stated.
