Doubtful the lawyers would allow that. It is really cool though. It would be interesting if they release it at least for racing only, it reminds me of old scca stock car road racing where no one had windshields like the elva courier.

It'll never see production. Mazda likes to throw a concept Miata out there once in a while - the Speedster (nee Italia), the M Coupe, the Monoposto, the Club Racer, the Zoomster and a few others. A few of the details make production (the NB doors appeared on the Speedster) but overall they're just fun. it'll be interesting to find out more about this superlight, to see if it's an aftermarket job or if Mazda was actually involved.
