How much hp and torque can the Super T10 handle?
That is all
Depends on the unit but around 500 lb/ft is no problem.
I have one with the "Case splitter" 3.42 first gear and it survives 345 lb/ft easily.

it was the trans of choice in the top NASCAR classes until about 10 years ago, and i think they only changed because the newer race only units take less power to run.
A friend of mine had a T10 sitting behind his 351 Cleveland 4V. With a cam sitting at around .625 lift, a 900cfm Holley and 2-1/8" primary headers in his 69 Mustang Fastback it was fine. The clutch was hard as hell to be able to handle it, but the trans was fine.
We ran an ex Winston Cup Super T10 refreshed by Liberty transmissions in our 1993 enduro car (1967 Chevelle, 12.5:1cr, monsterous solid cam, 375ci SBC, 2.05/1.60 heads, "Vette" rams horn manifolds (class required) and never had an issue in the transmission.
My Dad's AMX goes 11.20's with a T-10. He's broken two axles, two 9" differentials, and a driveshaft, but never the trans.
When I was involved in IMSA racing, we ran T-10s that had been tweaked by Tex Racing. Many many laps, never a transmission problem. 590hp SBC.

T-10 was installed in the 70's Corvette so boneyards might be useful. Or something like this Lakewood piece to join an LS1 to a T-10;

i think every Super T10 has the bigger input and output shafts- that's part of what makes them "Super".
i had a non "Super" T10 out of an early 60's Corvette in my Nova behind a 400hp 355 that took a lot of abuse (dumping the clutch at 5000 rpm at the drag strip, clutchless WOT shifts at 7000 rpm and improperly executed downshifts, etc) and never gave me any problems over the 4 years and 20,000 or so miles it was in the car other than a small leak out of the front of the case that i was too lazy to fix. the guy i got it from had it behind a 455 Olds that dyno'ed at over 600 HP in a 66 442 for a couple of years.
the most likely place to find an ST10 would be in a late 70's Trans Am or Z/28, and they will bolt to pretty much any bellhousing up to the early 90's that bolts to a Chevy V8.
