Which would GRM choose? (As a fun car, of course, i'm not going to argue that the SX4 is probably a comfier, cushier DD than the Swift, for example.)
I'd take the lighter, less powerful car. It would handle and stop better than the heavier, more powerful car - and on those merits, the lighter car would be faster overall.
And, since we would be talking something like an EF CRX Si, it would be a whole lot cheaper than a new SX4 - at least, if you can find one that hasn't already become rust or been totally riced out...

Wasnt aware that warranty's covered tires.
^ They do if it's an excessive and uneven wear. We had a bulletin out for the 04-06 TL's on rear tire wear. Covered a LOT under warranty.

Hence, I want an old one!
I dunno. Cant tear up a new car. Maybe when I'm a big shot billionare
Cool. I'm new to newish cars. Recently made the jum from '76 to '02. Want to explain what car he is talking about?
Wow. Yea, probably should have specified. Some of us who read GRM may also be interested in a reliable, balanced, slightly spirited and new DD that you could, on occasion, slap a set of tires on and auto-x.
Just thought it was, at the least, an interesting attempt from Suzuki to live up to some past advertizing stating their cars are just as fun as their motorcycles.(lol) Thou it may be "mightier than the (non S) MINI". Haven't found any skidpad on it yet.
I don't find this car to be even a little bit interesting.
With too many doors, too much weight, and not enough power, it looks like a Corolla, Versa, or just about any other car my mom would be interested in. This is 2010. A 2.0 L motor from Suzuki should make 200 hp.
