Convertible Alfa Carabo replica...

Wouldn't mind tooling around in it. With the Pantera chassis, it might be plenty quick, too.

Interesting, but I'd rather have the original pantera

Too round and bulbous. Not enough wedge-shape.

Why is it posted on the Santa Barbara CL when the car is in south FL?

The tail light section of the red one looks terrible. Otherwise thats a pretty solid replica! Seems like you could cut something in half with this car in a head on collision...

Sam Foose's custom shop was in Santa Barbara. I guess they figure anyone buying a special interest car like that wouldn't have a problem with having it shipped.

And for the record, I LOVE this and the Alfa show car on which it is based.

You're probably thinking of the Aztec 7 kit car, which was loosely patterned after the Alfa Carabo too:

The Bertone Alfa Carabo was a very influential design at the end of the '60s. The doors directly influenced the Countach:

The replica looks a lot flatter than the original. Must be hard to see out of that thing.

+1. I like some ugly cars but not that one.
