They are pretty straightforward. Just don't try to change any cam seals, since the pulleys are not keyed- they are indexed using special tools that lock the cam and crank. Also, when buying parts, make sure you have the right belt. The white block engines got progressively bigger belts over the years.
Make friends with someone that has a bigger tool box, persuade them to come over and help you by offering a modest amount of money and good beer. That wouldn't be a great engine for a newbie to learn T-belt changing with. Its DOHC and the accessory drive stuff not the easiest to deal with. (I am assuming its the I-5 engine. If its a 4 ignore everything I just said, I've never touched one of those).
It's actually a 6 cylinder version of the 5 cylinder.
4 cyl 1.9 liters
5 cyl 2.4 liters
6 cyl 2.9 liters
The first T belt I ever did was on my GTV-6. It was scary at first but I took my time and double checked everything. I would give it a try.
Meh... that looks like tons of room compared to changing the TB in my TDi. Looks like you might not even have to remove the radiator or drain the coolant.

Yeah, no kidding.. i did the belt on my mom's 2.9 s80 (transverse, mind you, its not like you can take off the right framerail to get more room) and it had a goofy variable cam gear adding some paranoia and i still thought it was reasonably easy.
That car honestly looks very easy for a timing belt.
