Just added a slammed nasty-loud Subaru Baja to my list of cars that I need to own one day. Like I didn't have enough cars on that list already.
This forum is such a bad place for me sometimes.

I have a pair of WhiteLine sway bars FS if you want help with the handling. They fit '96-'99 Legacy (came off a '97 OBW). Rear is adjustable and includes links.
There you go. Now we're finding hot rod parts for you.

Well, you can't say that anymore! In the case of Eric's first engine failure, he was driving to work when rod knock started up. The engine seized before he made it to work. No lights, no warning. The car had been serviced by the dealer from the start and had just come out of warranty. With a certain amount of fuss, Subaru agreed to provide a new engine but not labour. Then that replacement engine started with the rod knock almost immediately and Subaru paid for another one in full. As I mentioned, there was apparently some sort of problem with the internal engine passages. I don't know if replacement engine #1 was new or a reman.
Both cars did benefit nicely from a bigger rear sway, that's for sure.

Just don't freak like Lelia Hyams eventually did.
Per, the reason we love the magazine is because those of you who make it do the same stupid M3 E36 that we do. At the moment, I'm not jealous just because Tim bought the Edsel...I'm jealous that he got it most of the way back home before it threw him a "curve ball".
Aside to ya: I saw the Golf at the Mitty...it's worth what you're thinking of asking for it.

The Imprezzas are the same for Decatur Georgia, pronouced with the 2nd part sounding like "Hater" and the fist part being the body part that demographic would hate.
Per, do you think that Baja would pull a trailer?
I bought a blown up '98 2.5L recently. It spun the #4 rod bearing but was still drivable. That was at only 100,000 miles.

They do. Sometimes.
I usually have 3 cars that we buy and sell throughout the year. So far no one has officially complained and I'm the go-to guy for car related questions. Everything that is out in my driveway runs and is plated so I'm within my Association guidelines.
My neighbors usually have $800/month in lease payments and don't know how to work on their cars.
Subaru's are nice around here because of their space, all wheel drive and decent mileage. They are not race cars, that's for sure.
