As a guy who DDs a hearse I can't recommend it more.  All the space is great, it still rides like a Cadillac, and the extended wheelbase makes for very controlled powerslides.

Mine is a commercial glass high top (s&s masterpiece) which I think look alot better than the standard glass models.  The glass is pricey, and it's more upright so it seems to attract the rocks.

Hearses are like ambulances in that they're generally made to order so each one is a bit different.  I somehow have hd rotors and bearings in the front, but standard calipers and pads. I try to lay eyes on the part on the car before I order parts.

The top and back of mine are fiberglass.  It seems all the windshields leak at the top.  Of course it was a monsoon on the way home from picking it up.  The side windows/doors don't seal great so they're noisy at speed and they leak some water, don't put your foot under the door when opening. The top is also a bit flexy under spirited driving so it tends to squeak a bit.

It's great for tailgating and racing.  Just took mine to mid Ohio last weekend.  Had two mountain bikes, a full size cooler, a 3x5 ft bike trailer, chairs, a table, a canopy, and misc bags and snacks.  We still had room to load in a knockoff big Green egg smoker someone was throwing out.

Here it is next to a lambo who lost his wheel.

No interior pics is potentially scary.

I thought I replied, but it seems to be gone. This thing is three hours away, and I have to work until Saturday. I'm also kind of scared that if I go look at it, I'll buy it. Despite that, I did email the seller.

The seller advised that there is very little rust on the underbody. We'll see. Rust scares me worse then possibly getting another windshield.

No Title! Skip it

If the wife is excited then it's worth more than anything.

I would install a 5.3 or 6.0 LS based engine, bag it, keep the paint, and work on making it modern in brakes, AC, ICE.

Though the seller states "Original title". Hopefully your state has options for missing titles if it's missing. If not,  then there's options like going through Vermont DMV or Broadway titles.

Current update:

Title issues have me thinking I will pass. House/boat projects and nice weather activities are keeping me busy at the moment. If I was bored, I'd probably be starting a build thread.

The posting looks like its gone but.....a rusty hearse powered by a loud diesel sounds like a cool rat rod idea

I was thinking about a hearse, mostly for the heavy-duty towing bits and cargo space, but the wife was very against the idea, and I ended up with a '71 Ford wagon. That'll show 'er.  As it is, people seem to call it every long roofed car from TV and the movies, including Ghostbusters and Vacation, even though it is neither a '59 Cad ambulance nor a '85(ish) Crown Vic. Some pepole also ask me where the hearse is at. So far, only one person has claimed dislike for it, and he's an shiny happy person.

The wife (a former goth)

What do mean, “former”? I thought all Goths were lifers? Also, still gonna need a goth wife pic...

Alright, there is still plenty of goth there, but she doesn't dress the part any more.

As for pictures, I'd have to find and scan one from 20 years ago. Probably won't happen.

Seems a shame to let this idea go...

No fins, though. The fins were what made this idea appealing. Plus, it's white. That just doesn't jive in my mind.

I had a roommate who had a '73 S&S.

I got lightheaded and woozy when riding in it.  Something about an 8000lb car with the ride control technology and aptitude of an early 70s 5000lb car.  Floating over swells isn't really a grand enough term for what it did.
