Our race team has several years experience at this event. We are past class winners. We can offer coaching throughout the event if desired. If i was in a position to go, i would be all over this. That is a hell of a deal.
Keep in mind that's just car rental. You'll still have to enter the race ($5695 Cdn plus tax) and arrange accommodation (figure $2-3000, there are a few options). You'll also need an appropriate license - I picked up my NASA rally license to use.
Still a pretty good deal - you won't have to transport the car to Newfoundland, or deal with prepping it for the race. You won't need support either. That's a big plus, not having to work on the car in the evenings would let you get a lot more sleep!
Transportation alone could cost that much for us guys south of the border. Good deal!
