Does this help at all?

I'm not sure if it is an improvement, etc.
Also, Weiand has something:

The first link is at least a bit helpful since it looks like that intake manifold is about $100 or so cheaper than the Edelbrock TPI base, and it sounds like they give similar gains in flow. It's also interesting since the build that they used- GM HOT cam, vortec heads, higher-flow TPI- is very similar to what I'm thinking I will end up with on my own setup, so seeing what they got in the way of power out of it is useful.
The Weiand intake definitely looks interesting- the non-polished version of it is actually on par with the price of JUST the lower manifold from Edelbrock or the Scoggin Dickey one, and if it's anywhere near the performance of the other two (which you'd think it would be on the high end due to the shorter runners, though it might sacrifice some low-end torque...) it would be well worth it (plus being able to sell off all the other TPI parts :P).
We're running the non-Vortec version of the Weiand intake on our Nova now. Had much better fuel distribution than a TBI.
Exactly.
Too bad the crossram side draft intake manifolds don't work with the Vortec heads. That would be sweet with 4 DCOE-style EFI throttle bodies :)
but then again, a winning lottery ticket would be nice to have as well ;)

I... Have to admit, I think that looks rather awesome even if it might have a hood clearance issue...
Doing some searching, it looks like the bare intake isn't much more than the Vortec TPI intakes are. The throttle body doesn't look like it's the same as the TPI units, but is the fuel system compatible? Summit carries the full intake kit with injectors and everything for a pretty penny... probably more than I'd want to pay, but it would deinitely be nice...
it uses the LS1 throttle body and common injectors in whatever flow rate you want to use.

Good to know. I'll take this one, please... http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=320803130586&globalID=EBAY-US

Nope, the Vortec marine intake is a whole different critter.
Well, I had been keeping an eye on a TPI setup someone had up on CL near where I'm out on business here in PA until the end of the week, and pulled the trigger and picked it up yesterday. I'll almost certainly sell off the plenum, runners, and lower intake since the lower intake won't match up with my Vortec heads and will probably pick up one of the Weiand Stealth Ram setups to transfer the rest of the hardware to.
The setup came with all of the wiring harness and computer, so I've got plenty of options on how I can address controlling it as well, though I still lean toward using a MegaSquirt- I'm an engineer, and I like to be able to fiddle with things.
