The 2000s seem so far away now, yet the cars don't seem so old, especially when you still see them.

Let's just forget the best roadster of the 2000s. The S2000.

I believe the testing was based on Solo 2 classing of the time, and in 2006 the S2K was classed above the base Solstice and Miatas.

I wonder how long the dealer markups lasted on the Solstice considering we were getting close to 2007-2008.

SWMBO still loves the Saturn Sky Red Line her mom gave her, turbo, either '07 or '08 I forget.  If it wasn't an auto I might enjoy it more.

A good friend of mine autocrossed his Solstice in the central PA region for years. It was plenty quick! Pretty sure he raced in A stock though ... maybe he got the shaft on classing?

Years ago, I watched a YouTube video from a Japanese auto magazine (either in English, or with subtitles), where they took a Solstice and Miata, and ran them against each other on a slalom, where they turned around the last cone and came back through the slalom.  They had a JGTC driver on hand to get the most out of the cars.  The Solstice was quicker, and the JGTC driver loved how much easier it was to drive fast.

Wish I could find it, but videos over 10 years old get difficult to find on YouTube for some reason.
