Hi
Has anyone ordered a batch of custom pistons ?
We bought some from Arias before but they are out of business as the owner passed away .
Do all the slugs come from the same factory ? are they the same alloy ?
Does it matter if you get them from a big brand name or a smaller shop ?
Anyone know a smaller shop or work at one ?
These are going to be about 78 mm ,
I know I can get them done in China , but I would rather get them made in the USA
Thanks for your ideas

thanks for the link ,
Problem is they bought the Arias name....not the building , machines or workers ,
Not sure who is making their pistons .
25 sets?! Are these the new toilet paper?
Besides JE Pistons, there's also Wiseco, Diamond Racing, Ross and probably a bunch of other manufacturers to try.
I priced a set of J&E pistons in an odd oversize, and found they were about the same price as a set of Mahles from Volvo. Bit more, but not outrageous.
Thanks for link, that helped a lot man!
I use JE for all my custom pistons because I work with a local engine builder that has a good relationship with them. I can send in chamber castings and all the appropriate dimensions and get as low as ONE piston made if needed. They will be priced higher per piston the less you get, but if you don't need 25...

I've had good luck with Ross Racing for custom stuff.
