About a decade ago I bought a Chevy pickup with 63,000 miles on it.  Well, years in New York's winters and salt has taken its toll on the sheet metal which is why I sought a replacement.  Ended up with a nice F-150 short box, straight six four speed.  I want to fend off the metal mice as long as possible.

I bought a gallon of Fluid Film thinking it was, you know, fluid.  It's surprisingly similar to cosmoline; can't be shot into the nooks & crannies.  I've had people tell me Ziebart is crap, blah blah blah.  WWGRMD?

Truck is cleaning up nicely.

Try warming up the Fluid Film to make it easier to spray. I believe there are also spray guns specifically for it.

Gonna need pictures of that truck.

Truck looks great. Fluid film comes in a spray and I've had good luck with it.

I'd brush on the stuff you already have and use the spray for the tricky areas.

The Fluid Film spray cans come with a nozzle head that can spray 3 ways if you get the right package. You shove it into the frame holes and press the sprayer for a few seconds and it will coat the inside. I do this once a year to my truck right before the first snow.

Owner was kind of a nut job, kept records of every tank of gas; where he bought it, how many gallons and price.  2" thick folder of receipts including the original window sticker and the canceled check he wrote to the Stealership when he bought it.  55,000 miles on it.

You'll need to log in to post.
