If you >absolutely must< have a SAAB, go for the 04 and later car so you get the Ecotec 4 banger. Otherwise, I echo the Honda/Toyota thing.

I've had 3 Range Rovers and none of them ever stranded me or even broke down. The last was an '01 4.6 HSE that was my wife's daily driver and we used it as the tow rig for our travel trailer at the time...
