Been watching the Olympics, saw their new ad at Monaco and a familiar face. Derek Hill. I started laughing when I saw him. My girlfriend's parents asked me why I was laughing, I said "my dad was his crew chief in his very first race series he ever competed in, Ferrari Challenge!"

Well, they are trying to compete with the BMW 3 sereis and the "ultimate driving machine" tagline. The ATS is a serious contender to it's sport sedan throne.

And as I told my wife last night, I think Cadillac won with the commercials there. The BMW commercials were selling a cute ute.
Turbo, RWD, manual shift Cadillac that's lighter than a 3 Series (though what isn't these days)? Sign me up. Now, I'll have to figure out how to afford such a thing.
I've never been a Cadillac fan, but the ATS's styling does seem relativley restrained considering the brand's design language ... AND ... an ATS-V with an LS3, or better yet, a smaller displacement, higher revving, aluminum, pushrod V8 (ala L33) sounds like something I would actually consider buying new.
Just looked them up, a six speed manual is an $1100 option? That can't even make it a no cost option?

I know, I know, not an ATS. They do seem to be supporting motorsports a lot in the last 5 or 10 years though, and I'm okay with that.
I was just over at Gingerman Raceway, and ZZP has 4 ATS's that they are building. Can't wait to see what ZZPerformance.com does with the ATS in their performance packages.
I know they have some killer packages for Cobalts, Regals, Sonics and the like... but now ATS's ?
Hopefully they make the 900hp from the 2.0l turbo.
