I want to run the lowest level V8 full body class I can...and if their classes stay the same for next year (they may not) that is the best fit for me.

Jensenman, you'll be a natural on the dirt after racing bikes. I put it right up there with motocross for fun factor. You can't beat the feeling of being sideways, 3 wide at 60 mph, trying to make a pass

Mike/Jensenman...it just occurred to me that this might be a question (not an exclamation/revelation).
One of our tracks here has a "hornet" class that seems to have rule-crept itself into a "catch all 4 cylinder" class.
You can run front drive, rear drive, station wagons, and pickups. As long as it's 4cyl...they can run. [edit: unless it's un'murrican. Sadly, I can't build a corolla dirt tracker ) No gaurantee on being competetive...but a little S10 or the like could be fun! You're right...very cheap.
