The sales manager said they are aware of all the press and such. I just told him I'd likely use my free oil changes early so we can monitor it. Personally I think it's way overblown. We have like 2 confirmed failures in the US with almost 8100 cars sold for the '22 MY. It has a warranty, I'm not going to put a tune or header on it, just going to drive it and enjoy it.

I have no idea? I wonder if there is some DOT law about the height of lights or something, or if they didn't think it was worth the extra cost? Either way, I think it's a cool addition so I'm going to do it, even though it's a little pricey for a purely aethestic mod.

Dealer said it was the first red one they had received for '22 or '23. I was their first '23 BRZ for the year. Nearly all of the sales folks and managers walked outside to watch me drive it off the lot.
A good friend happened to be rolling through OKC yesterday so I had him take it for a little drive. He's always a skeptic, but he loved it and loved the transmission feel with the STi shifter.
I know there has been a lot of talk about the RTV stuff, which takes away from what I think is a great evolution of the first gen car.
Even without using the top half of the tach, you can tell how much stronger the engine is than the first gen.
