It started off like this, $400, 4.0 5pd 4x4, rod through the block (but still running lolz), three blown shocks and one "free" corner, corded car tires, and generally trashed otherwise.

With a total investment just north of $700 it now looks like this:

Engine from a '99, new ignition switch, KYB Gas-A-Just shocks all around, Kumho Road Venture AT tires, freshly painted wheels, new cd player and speakers, and lots and lots of cleaning. The A/C even works now!

I still need to re-paint some panels that are totally gone, seriously buff out the rest of the paint, fix the rust along the bottom of the doors, and fashion a quieter exhaust. Right now it's just a decent daily driver for crappy days and should be awesome in the snow. I had originally intended to sell it, but I like it enough to keep it around as an extra vehicle.

I just realized the "before" picture makes it look a lot nicer than it was. Trust me, it was trashed.

Yeah, your before and after basically look like a good detail and some fresh tires.

Rod through the block means that the motor is just breaking in on those 4.0 motors :p

That's what I was thinking! Wow, $300 just to get the snow off?
