Saw it last night with friends. My wife who usually doesn't like movies based on books really like it and the changes made still fit the model.

Best line of the night though was when one of our friends was asked if he teared up.  "Of course I did.  There's a reason why I only watch movies full of explosions."

The book is very good, and is set in Seattle and the racing happens at Pacific Racweay which is a very fun track to drive. I was looking forward to some good racing footage but when I heard they had removed any racing from the screen version I completely lost interest.

There is racing, and it's really good footage. Some of it is from actual IMSA races. Lots of people from our world, too. Just less than I expected, though way more than you'd usually see in a Hollywood movie.

Just watched this last night after starting it on  a flight.  How did my house get so dusty?

Finally got around to watching this movie today. I read the book way back when it was new, but still the movie had me in tears. Mrs. T.J. cried most of the time as well. She proclaimed it "the saddest movie ever made".

I watched it on one of the streaming services.  I enjoyed it as a sports car person and a dog lover. Yes I cried.
Rarely do that to a movie.  Maybe 2-3 times in my 71 years.

I read the book and will watch the movie.

It is funny how I imagined it in my head and how different it is on the screen. I saw it more gritty and less flashy.

In the book they said he had an old beat up BMW. I pictued like a e21 or or e28. A 3.0csi is not really slumming it lol.
