this past weekend working on my stock car we finnily got the motor in the car.......at least..hoping to fire it up in anger this week and get it moving under its own power in the next week or so i hope and posting a video of it running with open headers....
ran into a magor problem though. when the cage was intsalled it was set to low in the car, the guy who built the car cut the roof and intalled the cage from his last car. not the doors are too tight and my fat rear end wont fit the the car...i fount this out after getting stuck for sevral minutes the other day leaning in though the window to move the shifter. so now i have to roll the doors down a bit to have the room to get into the car and then reweld the stuff on the doors we reinforced...i also need to really get off my but and loose some weight also and quite being so lazy... the good news is we found the right spring compresser at autoxone for the loan a tool to get the front springs in the car. after its running then its a bunch of little things that might have to wait till febuary to finish up along with new paint. things like mover the battery, swap rear gears, mount racing hanesses and pass seat, figure out an ebrake, replace window and some other things.. lots of thing to do, so little money and time sigh....why does it always seem to take longer then yout thing to finish up a project? sigh....................more pics coming up very soon along with video of it breathing.
