Well, that's one possible explanation. I'm a big fan of the "it just got hungry" hypothesis....

Yeah I have to think it was his first time with any RC rotorcraft. Quadcopters are usually fly-by-wire and super-easy to control...even on manual control they're easier than most helicopters.

When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.

That footage nearly brought me to tears. Someone get me a crane and shovel, I'll go in there....

Anyone but me find it odd that there seems to be no reinforcement of any type in that floor?

Concrete slab shouldn't have needed anything under it. There wasn't a hole there when they built the place!

If any potential building client ever asks why they need to spend 2-20k to do soil borings on their site, I have a new favorite answer...

Especially in cave country. Or Florida.

No building was closed when it opened up.

I read where GM is saying they'll restore the damaged cars.

Apparently, I'm the only one thinking, "Pull them out (if possible) and LEAVE THEM ALONE."

That's part of the cars' history.

IMHO: More people will come to see the cars damaged than restored.

I know it should be in the Joke of the day thread but it will work here too:

An elephant was walking through the jungle one day when suddenly he fell into a hole. "Help!" he yelled. A mouse heard his cry for help and came running. When the mouse finally made it to the elephant, the elephant said, "Please Mr. Mouse, if you save me I'll be your best friend forever." The mouse agreed, and told the elephant to wait just a second. The mouse came back in his corvette, tied a rope around the elephant, and pulled him out.

A few days later the mouse was walking through the jungle when all of a sudden, he fell into a hole. The mouse yelled for help, and soon that same elephant that he had saved just a few days earlier came to the rescue. The mouse said to the elephant, "Remember me? I'm that same mouse that saved you from a hole. Could you please help me?" The elephant agreed to help him. The elephant did not have a corvette so he just dropped his penis down in the hole. The mouse climbed up the elephant's penis and was safe.

The moral of a story, if you have a big dick, you don't need a corvette.

I don't know. I mean I really like corvettes and all but how many millions have been made? I am just not getting worked up over this.

Now if it had been a Bugatti type 57 or an Autounion or something I could see all the hoopla but I am just not feeling it here.

I was just hearing on the radio that attendence is up a LOT since the sinkhole opened. They may even put one or two of the cars back in it.

I vote for putting different ones in there, and hiring whichever Knievel child is doing stunts to make it spectacular.
