
Well it was fun while it lasted. The transmission was about to blow up (along with a few other fairly disturbing maladies), and I have neither the time nor the space to do a trans swap. At least I saved the radio, and I yanked the backseat to use as a bench in my dorm's kitchenette. Onto the less-GRM next step of comfortable, reliable transportation. I'm thinking 6MT G35 sedan.
I've had three crown Vics. Started with a 79 LTD, first year of the panther platform. Drove it for 14 years. Three engines, two Transmissions, built it up as I went along.

Shockingly, the first gen sedans are only $20/mo more to insure than an Avalon, and I'd happily skip one night out each month to make that happen.
