Some shots from today's test&tune at summit, where we had 5 e30s (with 11 driveres), all kinds of wild weather, an e28 with a finger-sized hole in the tire sidewall, and an e90 IX running as well....good times. There were other cars there too (see link to album at the bottom).

Great pictures. I'm very excited to rallycross for the first time in a decade in 3 weeks. Ordered snow tires today. So so excited.

Which courses did you run? And how bad was the clay after the rain. Last time I was over there while it rained no one could get any traction.
I'm so jealous! I can't wait to get out and have some fun like that
Scrolling through the first few pictures I was wondering if you were going to actually do any racing or just pose for pictures.

We were on the gravel course today - driver's school was over on main and we're running Barn tomorrow.
I didn't drive in the PM (only in the AM when it was mostly dry), but yeah it looked slippery (actually slippery on top of deep powdery dry stuff). That said, the e30s and rx-7's running seemed to be doing fine if not slowish. There was even a civic out there on all-seasons and he was doing fine too. I think because gravel course has such deep loose dirt it doesn't get quite as slippery in the rain as barn or main do, since they're more packed down clay that turns to ice-rink in the wet.

Hey, gotta get our style shots too. We do drive BMWs after all..... And it's hard for me to take action pictures of my own car ;)
But someone else posted up some, so here they are ya bastard!

All three courses are lots of fun.

I just wish my tow vehicle didnt get 8 mpg or I that made more money to afford for gas.
I'm heading to my first Rallycross on Sunday! Can't wait.

Mine gets 12 on a good day.
I'm thinking I need to replace the probe with a crappy ugly mustang next year to shut you E30 guys up! ;)
Sorry I didn't get to catch you this weekend Josh, the car looked good out on the course though.

You can't drive the RX-7 out or does that get 8 mpg as well?
Bah, Summit Point is 292 miles away from my house according to Google. I'd love to show you what a Forester could do.
It looks like a great event, and the photos are great, too.
How did the E90 do?
e90 only came to the test and tune and couldn't make it out Sunday for the competition. He was out in some SLICK stuff and looked pretty good on all-seasons.
He said he plans to be at the next 2 events, so we'll see. His main handicap is that he's AWD so he's in there with all the subies
