With Caparo aiming to become a Lotus-like car maker, Tesla cranking out awesome (although expensive) electric cars, and now Gordon Murray designing a sensible efficient car (looks like it will be something similar to a Smart Fortwo from the teaser sketches), some seriously awesome cars could be available soon. If we're really lucky, the mainstream manufacturers might even catch on...but I wouldn't hold my breath.
edit: Here's the car wrapped in tin foil. Sadly the overall shape is rather ugly...but so is a Scion xB, maybe it'll still sell.
