What a summer.........even here in South Eastern Michigan we are are touching triple digits (100). Can't even put the top down on the Miata during the day with out getting fried. How's everyone else doing? Anybody in farming in the midwest? If so how in the world can you save your crops this year?
Overall it's been cooler and wetter than normal down here in Texas although I would like some of the rain the rest of you guys have been getting recently.

No rain here at all. We have scattered storms occasionally but nothing where I am at. I think my lawn is permanently dead this time, it's completely yellow. I need to come down to Texas and cool off

Painfully hot here in NC, 90+ just about everyday with most days over 100. Even up in the mountains its in the 80/90s, no reprieve anywhere!
May hit 110F here in S. Kansas by the end of the week. Better than last summer but not by much... and A/C doesn't function in either of my cars. May invest in correcting that in one of them this weekend.
My miata's A/C just quit on me. Cold one second and now nothing. Compressor stopped kicking on.
Drove the diesel truck to work just to have A/C.
46 days and .09" of rain(record), we hit 31 days of 90+ heat in a row (record) and we have hit more 100+ days this summer than any other (record).
Must be making up for the mild winter we had.
It's been below average the past 2 or 3 weeks after a record over 100 June. 90s and cloudy/humid. It was 86 here a couple of days ago. Nothing over 100 forecast for this week.
I'm in Tucson.
In the desert.
In the summer.
Hot & Humid. Supposed to break down to the 80s tomorrow with much needed rain.
I daily drive an X1/9 in San Antonio.
Man up yall!
I don't think we've had rain fall more than twice in in the last few months. My grass is beyond "golden" not, it's just brown. We've been watering the small garden and the grape vine, that's it. I've only mowed the lawn twice in 2012!
back up to 100ish again here. Had a bit of rain over the weekend but its been real dry for a few weeks. my lawn is not doing so well. good news is neighbor is in no hurry to have me fix her mower and get it back to her, nothing is growing. its too berkeleying hot to be playing in the garage anyways.

It's back to almost 100 here in PA/NJ. Fortunately, the A/C in the TDi works quite well as does the A/C in my house. Unfortunately, working on the g/f's house w/o A/C is making progress go slowly. I'll work for a few minutes and then be drenched in sweat and need to break. Got all of two stupid heating pipes run last night. And tonight will be even worse. I'll have to grab a fan at Lowes tonight.
Hot here in West Michigan too. We've had a grand total of 30-40 minutes of rain in the past month. In that same month, we've only had one or two days with daytime highs UNDER 90 degrees, average highs in the mid 90's and several 100+ days. Lakes and rivers are down substantially and most of the corn looks like its not going to make it. I've even noticed the leaves on some of the oak trees around here are turning brown and everyone without irrigation systems has a completely fried lawn. I've never seen it this bad. Its a little unnerving.
It's been very hot and dry in the Jackson MI area. I started the lawn mower today, not to cut the grass, it's all dead, but to drag a branch that fell off a tree into the road from being so damn dry. I felt like I was inside a hot air popcorn popper driving the mower down the road.
IT is like living in a toaster oven up here as of late but we always get a stretch of this up in the NE every year.
When I walk across the yard, a dust trail follows me. Watching the dogs play in the "yard" is like watching them play in the desert.
Ive given up on this summer, time for fall! You'd think id be used to this having lived in Ohio my whole life but you'd be wrong.
We're having one of the worst droughts since the 50's here right now. It's 100 here right now.
I'm suprised the birds are at the feeders right now. I dumped the entire ice bucket from the automatic ice maker in the bird bath. Hopefully they enjoy that.
We are on our way back to Ohio after 10 cooler days in Orlando and NSB, who would have thought that could happen.
SoCal coast is pretty good right now. It is about 70-ish at my house. However, we have had little rain this year, and I am expecting a REALLY bad fire season.

It's been really hot in Wisconsin too, but right now Green Bay is getting some much needed rain.
Ya it's funny. How often can you head south to cool off?

Here in SoFla it is the rainy season. Had two inches just yesterday. Rain almost every day, some real gully washers. Flood warnings. Mow the grass twice a week. But, temps are moderate, high 80's, low 90's. That's moderate for here. I think I would rather have this than 100*.
It's been in the 90's and humid here in Connecticut for the past few weeks, but, after the winter that we had two years ago, I refuse to complain about the heat.
