The way to identify the MK2 bilstiens is the strut shaft is huge, like twice as thick as the stock ones. Other than that that you cant tell just by looking at them, so people who dont know just leave them there. For wheels, the "snowflake" type (as found on the spirit among many others) is said to be the most durable of the stock wheels for those type of cars. The center bore on the neon wheels was too small for my charger, but it was alot older than your car.
neon wheels are fully interchangable with K-varient wheels. As long as you are dealing with 5-lug, but that should be a given. And my winter stealies came from my mothers acclaim.
i had one of these it was an awesome car, in stock trim alot of fun to drive,
3.0l v6 with a 5spd, i called it my feather duster LOL!
Around here a few guys race them at our local oval track which is Flat Rock Speedway S. of Detroit. They have a 4 cylinder class here, but other tracks allow V6 engines.
Had the day off and instead of doing the honey-do's I worked on cars. Got the Duster running and driving perfect now! $35 at a U-Pull-It netted me a 1/4 window and a 15" steel wheel w/tire to replace the bent one. Installed them both, and then went to the local car wash and $5 later the Duster even looked good! I rewarded it with a full tank ($30 in a $50 car lolz) and a beating. A 3.0L V6 in a light car makes for some fun hoonage! I'll update the Reader's Ride for it later, I have to go to a family b-day party.
Well, I'm pretty much done for now! It took just over $330 total, but I now have a running, driving, reliable car with a year of registration and four round tires. Basically I spent less on this entire project than buying and mounting 4 snow tires for the P71, so I will get by this winter for cheap and be able to sell it for a profit in the spring. It has quite a bit of scoot to it! I'm going to try a rallycross in it, so who knows I may just keep the thing and use it as a future Challenge entry (if we get a second chance at a West Coast event).
