I wish Jeep well, but hope that whoever buys it isn’t in my 401K portfolio.

Because Jeep switched hands so much, it makes for some interesting parts bolting together.
My dad and I have a '65 Jeep J-300 pickup truck with Jeep, willys overland, and kaiser on the name plate with a big block mopar in it now. When we got it, it had a 350 buick from a '69 Jeep. On another note, some wealthy guy should buy jeep on his own and make it a private company and just stick to jeeps.
the '65 would say Kaiser-Willys. that was the company name at that time. Jeep used mostly their own engines
They bought the Buick V6 and used a Buick V8. Then AMC and so on.
AMC had a 327 ci engine and a lot of people thought it was a Chevy 327.

Only if they're blind or dumb as paint..
My '67 Kaiser-Jeep has a Buick 350 from a 1969 Jeep. The P/O blew up the Kasier 327 that was in there.
I know a "ford guy" who keeps insisting that the Stude' 289 is a Ford engine

Actually the Rambler/AMC 327 was painted orange from the factory, so a LOT of people mistook it. I had one in a 62 Rambler Ambassador with the push-button automatic.
Rambler's 327 actually came out before Chevy's.
