The most 80s looking car?

I would say Starion or XT6 were the quintessential 80's design. I think of two others when I think 80's.

I'm with codrus- but I may also be a weeeee bit biased.

The Delorean was the most 80's 80's car.....hands down.

No you don't. There's not a 10yr production lag.. I think there are just lots of people who cant parse which cars were sold in the 80s that were actually updated 70s styling. Everything on the first page was fine until the countach, but on the second page we got the 914, Lagonda, and TR7 from the 70s and some stuff that was JUST BARELY more 80s than 70s like the Biturbo, Delorean and Shelby Charger.

How about a dark-horse candidate: a pale yellow Cimarron with a black aftermarket landau vinyl roof? I just drove past it on Taunton Road north of Bowmanville ON. Seemed (from my drive-by vantage point) to be in mint condition. Probably the pride and joy of a very strange individual.

The DMC-12 was sold in 1981 and 1982, entirely within the first Reagan administration -- what more do you want? Its appearance in Back To The Future (one of the most classic 80s movies, and the only one I can think of that prominently features a car of that same decade) cements the deal.

Fair enough. Those cars "look" 70s to me regardless of the fact that they were STILL for sale in the 80s. So i guess you care and i care by equally useless amounts and we cancel each other out, leaving both our opinions completely insignificant.

This is the most 80's looking one I was watching for in my mirror in the '80's...

that car was the star of my favorite music video of the 80's- and it wasn't any of the videos that involved several hot 80's women climbing out of it clown-car style to help some nerdy 80's preppy dude get laid.. it was the last video that car appeared in- Rough Boy... ok, it was in space ship form, but still..

Scott Sullivan's "Cheese Wiz" '55 at least got driven across the country with no support vehicles for a story in Hot Rod, so it wasn't totally useless from a functional standpoint...

My dad owns a fairly close replica of this car-- at least from a visual standpoint. I didn't know it was a replica, to be honest.

And now I think they are god-awful cheesy looking 80's uber-mobiles. Ruf got it much better . . .
