Does anyone have any insight on how the new R1R in its 200TW form compares to the Re71R and the RivalS? Better for autoX? Better for HPDE?
All accounts is that it's not as good as the Re71R, probably about the same as the Rival S.
However the RE71R has been such a juggernaut this year I'm not sure how many top people have really tried the Toyo.
I haven't heard of anyone using it … they (Toyo) were so wishy-washy about when the 195 would be available in 200TW (and if it would be the same as before … i.e. pixie dust compound all the way to the cords) that as soon as the west coast results started coming in about how great the BS 71R's were … most everyone that was maybe waiting on the Toyo, bailed and have never looked back
and for all I know the 195 might not be available yet … I haven't bothered going on the "new and improved" Tire Rack web site to find out
