Just happy to see they're taking safety seriously with that high mount 3rd brake light! laugh

Wait a minute, the actor from the dumb Twilight movies is the new Batman?!? Who in god's name made that decision.

Somebody who wanted to cast an awesome Batman, that's who. Yeah the Twilight stuff was lame, but Pattinson's got the goods. Go watch Good Time and The Lighthouse then get back to me.

Remember how that Gun Ho/Mr. Mom guy Michael Keeton wasn't going to be good batnan?

I can't recall where I read this, but there's a line a critic (probably not even a big name one) summed this up well: "The key to casting Batman is finding someone who can play Bruce Wayne." That's why you see a lot of unlikely actors cast as Batman - and many of them made it work.

Also, another thread mentioned the possibility of combining a Bauer Catfish body with a Paco Motorsports lift kit - paint that combo black, and it would certainly look like a Batmobile contender to me!

Do I'm not the only one who thought that was silly! Would like to see the car in better light . Could be cool.  Never really liked the tumbler etc.

Looks like a 1st gen F-body and a Plymouth GTX had a baby.

Considering Batman started in 1939 and if I had Bruce Wayne money, the Batmobile would have been one of the following:

Auburn Cabin Speedster:

Pierce-Arrow Silver Arrow:

Retractable hardtop Auburn Coupe (Parked behind the Cabin Speedster in the above photo):

Or a Packard 900 with Woodlite headlights:

Batman in 1939 would drive a Lincoln Zephyr with an Allison V12 swap... just like The Shadow.

I really think pretty much everyone that's played the role has been a gret choice, just that some of them were forced to play completely awful versions of the character. Both Clooney and Kilmer could have been amazing Bat/Bruce, but they were stuck in those goofass Schumacher movies. Affleck was actually pretty decent, but, again, was hampered by some horrific dialog and dumb story choices. Also, there were times I couldn't not hear Batman with a full on southie accent saying "Get in the cah, we're goin' aftah the Riddlah."
