I've tried. I really have, but I just can't stand the new front page here. I now find myself using the community page as my bookmark link to the site. There's just too much STUFF. And as long as I'm being a "richard" the new car reviews , while it would be great if I was on staff, mostly have little to do with "The Hardcore Sports Car Magazine". Lexus LS460? Mercury Milan? Jeep Sahara? On the other hand, it doesn't cost me anything here, and I don't have to come to this site if I don't want to, so I'll just shut up and quit b*tching.

Hmmm, the Milan doesn't really fit in "The Hardcore Sports Car Magazine"? I think if you looked at a few of the back issues you would find articles on cars that "started life" as run-of-the-mill family cars, but that have been given new lives as rally cross cars....as one example.

If you rule out the Milan, you might as well rule out cars like the 510 Datsun (it was just a "lowly" family sedan) or the Subaru Legacy. After all, the Legacy has....oh the horror, 4 or 5 doors, depending on the body style.

To come to a more than obvious point, the name of the mag is Grassroots MOTORSPORTS. Doesn't sound like it is a very definite name, like, say, sporty coupes with at least 6 cylinders for power and a manual transmission availability.

The Lexus, on the other hand....you do have a point there. But hey, wouldn't you love to see a 1 model racing series with LS 400s barreling around racetracks and sliding off said tracks....BACKWARDS, at risk to their bodywork? Sort of a luxury cars only "Touring Car Championship" type of series?

Also skip the first page. It's cluttered.

I'm kind of indifferent regarding the new look - it works, I don't really remember what the old one looked like, and while there is a lot of stuff there it all seems fairly well organized. With that said, I do normally just come straight to the forums.

As for the 'non-motorsports' car reviews, a lot of people reading the magazine need cars that they don't plan on ever taking on a track, or autocrossing. The may have families, or have to drive something that seats more than 2 people or just want a daily driver with a warranty. If GRM wants to throw up some web-only content about cars that might interest these readers, I'm all for it.

Its cluttered. But this thread should probably go in this section of the forum: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/feedback/

You'll need to log in to post.
