2200 lbs, 160 hp from a turbo 1.3L, sweet styling, and a modern suspension? This could be big, folks - Sure looks like it will be one very quick autocross car.

I don't think my NA is a great looking car either, but that's not really the point.
2200Lbs is exciting though.
awesome looking car. they need to hurry up and relase it so everyone upgrades from their NC's and floods the market, making NC's even more reasonably priced.
We don't really have any details on the suspension yet, but this being Mazda, I suspect that they won't make the soft and squishy mistake they made on the '06 models.
I'm impressed by the specs, but I'm having a hard time not noticing that hideous nose.
I keep trying to figure out whether it'd be better if I just ripped out the curvy bars and put mesh in the grille, or whether the whole shape is irretrievable.
That is most likely a "photo-illustration" and not a real moving car on a road. Road and Track (I think) has a different looking front end on one.
It's styling is fine. If it hits the performance we're used to from Miatas, then it's all good. The big thing to me is the price. Will it be reasonable?
Paint it white or black and slide in a different grille or remove it entirely and the picture would be a lot better I think.
Miatas already have SLA front and rear... what "modern suspension" would possibly be an improvement on that?
And that image looks a little Z3 to me... I think it's the shape of the windshield combined with the fender accent and the bump over the rear tires.
Nothing about that pic suggests it's a real car. Look at the driver and scale him to the car; he's either a very large dwarf or the next Miata is freakin huge.

looks more S2000 to me...
personally, I like it. MUCH better than the current Miata
