Actually, she wanted to wear the helmet but I insisted on the gloves.
I on the other hand have my Fbomb volume usually set to 11 and yes I've also been known to sling an open end.
Dad certainly taught me a lot, maybe 1/2 training 1/2 born with not sure, but not so much hands on help, more like watch and learn and here's a wrench I'll be over there. One of the first things I did was change only the clutch disc on my 318i in the driveway. I've installed plenty of cheap parts and now I usually try to use OEM or 'premium' if I can afford it. I don't think it matters when you start you just have to go for it. I want to be a stickler and say you should really read your car's Factory Service Manual, use a torque wrench, but honestly it is so easy today to just search your topic and find the best tutorial video and follow what the person does.
