It would be awesome if the interstate you speak of looped around to the Cherohala Skyway. I have done that loop many times it just takes to long to get from the dragon to the skyway and back.

Nothing that complicated. Toll at one end and a toll at the other. Otherwise, the road stays the same.
The Dragon is nothing like the Ring. It's twisty, but utterly different in the character of the road.
