Nice day today, slight breeze, partly sunny pleasant temps. Perfect day for a pleasant drive around the Lake. In the MG. Maybe stop at the local drive in for lunch.
Well except to get it out I've got to move all these spares, find someplace to put them.
Hmmmm every flat surface is piled with more. Shelves are filled to the bending point. Wood working equipment is covered. 1800 sq ft piled as much as 9&1/2 feet high.
I guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend.

Shopping for shelves or planning custom shelving and figuring out all the hardware needed?
Giving away all of my Fox Mustang stuff that didn't sell easily was a great option. I also sold all my Porsche stuff at a loss, but having space for what you are currently doing has a lot of value. I spent a goodly amount on garage cabinets and shelving and highly recommend it. Having as little on the ground is a great goal and having stuff that rolls too. You can rearrange as needed for big projects like engine pulling etc.

I've already decided that some stuff has to go even if it's into the trash.
Now some of my MGTD spares will sell and what doesn't will get the dumpster treatment. It's going to be hard but some of that stuff dates from 1962 when I first got the MG. If I haven't used it in 60 years and no one wants to buy it, it's time.
That plus racing junk. Dating back 40-50 even 60 years has to go. Old wonderbar radios. Early battery powered drills and other tools. Plus wire wheels. Lots and lots of 48 spoke wire wheels that even if straight with good spokes and decent splines have to go.
I should get rid of my fiberglass molds. Because of all the space they consume. But maybe I'll build that XKE and a trailer for it as well.
My goal is to gain back 20% more space. That's 360 sq ft by 9&1/2 ft tall. That's 3420 cu. Ft.
Based on the surprise you exhibited at old jag suspension values .. you should check eBay on these things before tossing them.

Exactly. That's a really good point. Thank you.
What I thought was saved trash turned into a valuable asset to build one last race car.
We purged stuff a little while ago.
No longer own the car? The parts were sold or given away.
And then what was still needed was put into clear plastic totes and placed on the shelf.

I've got an entire basement full of VW corrado spares. When the car goes I'll post it all for sale, whatever doesn't sell I'll give away to local VW friends.
