i do not think you can get a better veiw of a evening then this. my new job started tuesday night at great lakes dragway and i will doing timing in the tower this summer. the highly advanced system the NHRA uses.....DOS based system for timing....amusing to learn the system and picking it up rather quick that night. the boss left me along after awaile and i got to run the track by myself from up there for a while. I know i impressed him that night with what i did and he did say so at the end of the night.
tommorow is a track rental for a friday after noon, and then going to sunday for a big event. will be posting some pics when i can. also coming up at the end of the month circle track stuff also.
Napping will be difficult.
who cares about napping, its going to be very fun summer to say the least. i think by the challange i am going to be s burned out on cars though with this and wilmot also and some freelance photo stuff with cars that might come up.
Awesomeness. Congratulations dude.
Looks like fun, but I think some aspirin might be wise to keep on hand.

Pretty cool summer gig. You might want to invest in some quality ear plugs though... that looks like you are close enough to feel the heat.
ear plugs and a respirator to keep from breathing in all that smoked tyre
Hey, I've always wanted to do this on one those Friday/Saturday night grudge war drags, so I'll share it with you. Have two really cool guys (that know I each other) stage up, and then get out of their cars with "supposed" pink slips in hand and sign them on the hood of the cars. Have them throw some trash talk and meanwhile your announcing in the tower the goings on of this little charade (as if it's real). They run 'em, but when they come back to pit there is no exchange of cars. sure it's staged, but so are all of the reality tv shows, yet they still get ratings. People like drama. And ppl at a drag strip long for the days of yore, when two men literally would have put their rides on the line. I think it would make a fun night.
Cool, say hi to the scooter guys! I raced up there in 2014.
top notch facility
congrats again on the awesomeness
thank you everyone, i need to get ear plugs for both tracks this coming week cause the drags are nothing campared to the dirt tracks stuff.
I have been asking my boss for a long time to give me an office with a good view of the city
