Despite their reputation, the Hongs are standup guys and there were no shenanigans. Any one of us could have picked that car up for what they paid.
I personally think their reputation is way over blown. I only had to politely decline once when one of them suggested burning down my bar in the parking lot.

These are the kinder gentler Hongs. I mean, you don’t have to berkeley *every* goat. Just one is sufficient to earn a name that lasts a lifetime.
I learned to read what is NOT in the rules.
Also, that dynamic trumps concourse in most cases. Top cars bring it all, but concourse appearnce does NOT mean car show quality. The phrase "photograph well" is key.
I also learnded that everyone seems to appreciate my build style.
Check metal hardlines for brakes after all the fabwork for knicks

I learned that the event is totally worth it even without all the driving, and that staying at the hotel on saturday night would have been the right plan. I also learned that I should really just drag whatever junk i can afford out there. Chances are I can sell it somehow if I don't want it later.

I'm pretty sure the swapped dustbuster van is for sale- though I am not dragging that thing from Detroit. And I don't want to repaint the already spectacular paint job.
