You know, people look at music from the past with a really heavy filter on. For every "Whole Lotta Love," there's a dozen or more "Jam Up and Jelly Tight"s. Of *course* if you look at "only good music from the past," then the current year's music will look terrible in comparison, because you're filtering out 99.9999% of the music made in the fondly remembered past. I submit - and stay with me here 'cause this part will get a little ugly - I submit that if you put the best music of today up against the best music of the past, it would hold up quite well. It's when you compare the Niki Minaj of today to the Jimi Hendrix of yesterday that music looks like it's gotten worse.
Of course there will be stand-outs from the past that are better than anything put out today, because you're pulling from an enormous pool of music. But at some point in the future we'll get an artist that will put something amazing out that will eclipse even the best from the past.
If you chose to ignore new music, that's your loss. There's amazing stuff put out every single day.
I agree with this 100%, excellent point.
So I'll add: Music hipsters, folks who don't like ANYTHING that EVER made it onto the radio. They are annoying.

PAY AT THE PUMP GAS PUMPS
Even now when I want to pay inside, I still have to press their bullE36 M3, and then I get asked the same questions inside.
NEWSFLASH! Why not have it so when I pick up the handle, I press what octane I want and go? If people have stupid ass reward cards and want to pay at the pump, THEY SELECT THAT THEY WANT TO DO SO.

Maybe you meant "hazing to death"?
That sucks...
This just in:
People at work that leave the coffee machine 99% empty without brewing a new pot...
My local Honda parts department. Today I was told I can't get my discount (the kid admitted they might be hurting) and my filters took a 20% increase along with my 20% discount. These guys suck.
That's okay; I'll buy in bulk from College Hills Honda in Ohio or eBay. The kid shook his head and agreed.
