A Vibe with a 3.8 or is he just trolling?

Must be. I thought these had Toyota drive trains? Wonder how easy that swap was.

3.8 won't fit in that.

I thought you were talking about the political bumper sticker at first....

Yeah, it's either a swap or a troll. The Vibe is a Corolla with a Pontiac badge. I'd bet it's a joke, as I don't even know the 3.8 would fit in there. If by some chance it did, and that car really is AWD, I'd love to give it a flogging.

The front CV shafts would be like a foot long.

Matrix, not Corolla. They did build AWD Matrixes (and Vibes, I think), so it's possible for it to be AWD. But the 3.8 bit... who knows?

The Matrix and Corolla are pretty closely related too.

Yeah, AFAIK, the Matrix is a lifted Corolla with optional AWD and squished into a hatchback shape.

The GT had the Celica GTS motor with the lofty redline. My mother called to tell me about her new Vibe, told me it was a six speed. I questioned, really not a 5 speed. Turns out that combo was not so good in a Vibe, the final drive and gear spacing was all wrong. It would scream to redline around 7k+ rpm then fall on it's face for 1500 rpm before it got into the "power" again.

The GM 3800 might fit with enough sawzalling, but the AWD would be dead. Definitely a troll.

it's in Michigan... maybe a factory prototype from back in the day?

and since when is it "trolling" to put a badge on a car?

As much as I hate to burst the bubble, but you could only get AWD with the 1ZZ-FE on Gen 1 Matrixes and Vibes.

Well, trolls do stuff for a reaction and this is getting a reaction.

Seems like more of a case of "ricer" than "troll", though.

Those have M plates, and generally get crushed pretty quickly.

My guess is its a joke. Like when I put a 3.5 high output emblem I found on the back of the Festiva I used to have.

In high school I had two spoiled friends, one with a LS Firebird with T/A hood, Borla exhaust, and another with a mostly stock Roush Mustang who were incessant about how much better their cars were than the rest of their friends. I made my own performance stickers; Hooker, Edlebrock, K&N, MSD, Borla, etc. by scanning Summit and Jegs catalogs and printing them out. I taped them to back window of my '90 4 door Grand Prix, just to poke fun at them. I guess I was "trolling" them long before I ever knew what trolling was.

The GT never came with AWD either so at least two badges were slapped on.

A Cruz supporter could never complete an engine swap. Any REAL Texan knows that.
